When your customers receive a message or a service reminder, it is a great idea to give them a direct link to your workshop's booking page. This makes it easy for them to book an appointment right away.
How Booking Links Work for the Customer
Without a Booking Link
There is a Booking button on the main "Status" screen of the customer's mobile app. If you do not set up a link in your workshop settings, clicking this button will simply open a screen that asks the customer to call or text your workshop manually.
With a Booking Link
If you add your workshop's link to the settings, clicking the Booking button opens your website directly inside their app. Even better, the app automatically pre-fills your online form with the customer's vehicle information. This makes booking super fast for them and cuts down on mistakes.
If the information is available in the app, it will automatically fill in:
Licence plate and mileage
First and last name
Email address and phone number
How to Set Your Booking Link
Setting up your link is very simple. If your workshop has an online booking page, just follow these steps:
In ConnectedWorkshop, go to Settings and select Workshop.
Make sure your specific workshop location is selected in the top menu.
Click on the Booking tab.
Click the Edit booking button:
You will see two places where you can paste a link: one for web and one for mobile. You can just paste the exact same website link into both boxes. Having two boxes simply allows you to use a mobile-specific web address if your website has one.
Remember to Keep Your Links Updated
If you ever change your workshop's website or update your online booking address, please remember to update the link here too. If you forget, customers will land on a broken error page when they tap the booking button in their app.
