When a customer reaches out about their vehicle, you can quickly look it up in ConnectedWorkshop to access key technical information including mileage, service history, connection status, and any reported faults. This allows you to provide faster, more accurate support during the call or visit.
Steps to Find Vehicle Information
Step 1 : Open the Vehicles menu
Log in to ConnectedWorkshop and select the Vehicles tab from the side menu.
Step 2 : Search for the vehicle
Use the search bar to find the right match. You can search by:
- Registration number
- VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
- Customer name
- Phone number or email address
Step 3 : Open the Vehicle Details page
Click on the correct result to view full details, including:
- Current mileage and service records
- Connection type (CC-Link or OEM)
- Battery and technical system data
- A timeline of recent alerts or reported issues
Viewing Faults and Incidents
Go to the Alarms tab in the Vehicle Details view. Incidents are shown in two sections:
Important Incidents
These are critical alerts that are also visible to the customer in their Connected Cars app.
They typically include:
- Warning lamps
- Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
- Any active technical issues requiring follow-up
Other Incidents
These are background alerts not shown in the app, such as:
- Temporary or self-resolving faults Intermittent signals
- Issues not relevant for customer attention
These entries are still useful for building a full picture of the vehicle’s condition and service history.
Check Connectivity Status
Use the Connectivity tab to see:
- When the vehicle last sent data
- Whether the data connection is currently active
This can help you explain if certain information is missing or outdated, and guide the customer accordingly.
