How to look-up a vehicle and check for warning lamps

Help to find basic information about a vehicle, such as mileage and faults

When a customer writes to you or calls you to say that there is something wrong with his/her vehicle, you can look up the vehicle in ConnectedWorkshop where you will find more information to help you advise the customer.

 

Procedure:

 

  1. Go to the Vehicles menu

  2. Use the search function and search for e.g. license plate, vehicle identification number, telephone number, email address, customer name, etc.

  3. When you have found the vehicle, click on it to go to its details page which contains: mileage, service details, incidents.

  4. The Alarms tab show both Important incidents (alarms that the customers see in their app), as well as Other incidents:

 

Important incidents show the alarms and errors recorded, that the system have deemed most important to the customer at this moment. These alarms and errors are also available to the customers in their app.

 

 

Other incidents show recorded incidents that may be more sporadic and (not yet!) crucial for the customer to know about. These are great as background information about the vehicle and the customer. The customer does not see these in their app.
