App error messages

Below is a list of select app error messages, what they mean and how you solve them.

 

Error message Meaning/Solution

 

 "Network request failed"

The phone is unable to connect to the internet. Ask the customer to check their internet connection.

 

 

 "Response not successful: Received status 401"

Restart the app. If issue still persist, double check that the customer is using the correct credentials when logging in. Should be the same that was used when the customer was invited by the workshop.

 

 

 "No old password supplied"

This means that the customer typed their old password incorrectly when they tried to change it to a new one.

 

 "Email already exists"

Ask the customer to check their email and accept the invitation by clicking the link in the email sent from the workshop.

 

 "The user is already invited to the vehicle"

Check that the customer is using the same credentials that was used when the customer was invited by the workshop.

 

 "Self-activation already pending"

Check that the customer is using the same credentials that was used when the customer was invited by the workshop.

 

 400: "Some validation failed"

This may mean invalid email address, user not found, invalid password or invalid telephone number.

 

 401: "Invalid login"

This usually means that the password is incorrect.

 

 403: "Login not possible"

This usually means that there has been a change of user for the vehicle.

 

 409: "Email already exists"

This means that someone is attempting to create a new user using an email address that already exists in the system.
