In ConnectedWorkshop users can either have basic or manager rights. Each has access to a lot of the same functionalities, with a few exemptions, which are explained in this article.
User with basic rights
In ConnectedWorkshop a user with basic rights has access to features related to all vehicles which are connected to his/her workshop(s). In shorter terms, the user can:
See and edit all vehicle information
Add new vehicles
Activate all non-activated vehicles
Connect vehicle with private/commercial customers
See all customers’ information
Communicate directly with the customer
See all service data for vehicles
See all service reminders
See all vehicle alarms and error codes
See all Workshop KPIs
See all general information about the workshop
See general information about Fleet customers
See opening hours of the workshop
User with manager rights
In addition to all the features that the user with basic rights has access too, the user with Manager rights can also:
- Invite new users (with both levels of rights) to the workshop
- Promote/Demote existing users' level of access rights
- Edit general information about the workshop
- Edit estimated revenue of different lead types
- Set/update the opening hours of the workshop
- Set/update the Auto-reply from the workshop to the customers inside/outside of opening hours.
Update Location of the workshop for customers to see in their app
Best Practice
We recommend assigning manager rights only to individuals who are responsible for workshop operations and staffing, such as service managers or team leads.
All other staff, such as service advisors or technicians who use the system daily, can be assigned basic rights to perform their tasks without affecting workshop settings or user access.
