This guide shows you the simple steps to correct a vehicle's information, such as the model, year, or fuel type, in the ConnectedWorkshop platform.
Why Would I Need to Update Details?
Sometimes, a vehicle's specific details might be entered incorrectly during setup. Making sure this information is accurate is important because it ensures the CC-Link device sends the right diagnostic alerts and updates to your customer's mobile app.
Step 1. Find the Vehicle and Open Details
First, find the vehicle in your list.
Click the car icon in the left-hand menu, search for the vehicle, and open its profile. This will bring you to the Vehicle Details page.
On the Vehicle Details page, look for the button labeled "Edit vehicle" on the right-hand side.
Click this button:
Step 2. Edit vehicle information
To correct a car's information, do the following:
A new box called "Edit vehicle" will pop up on your screen. You can now type directly into the boxes to make your changes:
Model: Make sure the exact model is right (for example, changing "VW Golf" to "VW Golf GTI").
Vehicle year: Enter the correct year the car was built.
Fuel type: Select the right fuel (like Petrol, Diesel, or Electric) from the dropdown menu.
Important:
Do not change the License plate or VIN fields here. If these are wrong, they need to be updated using a different process to prevent errors with the customer's app link.
Step 3. Save Your Changes
Once all the information looks correct, simply press the "Save" button at the bottom of the box. The system and the customer's app will update right away.
